Reflections for the
Christmas Season

Return to Prayer Group Home Page

Time seems to be the most valuable commodity of our age. No-one has time to spare. And yet, a few moments set aside for God can bring forth many blessings. God will not be outdone in generosity. The next time we are tempted to say 'I would like to pray more, but I just don't have the time', let's just pause for a moment - one moment is all it takes - and give that moment to God.

Take a moment with us just to ponder on the wonders that God has done for us
.

Mary, I ponder on the Word

Which came to dwell on you

You heard it and you believed

All that was said was true.

Mary I ponder on the Truth

Whose Ark you came to be

You received it with a joyful 'yes'

In all simplicity.

Mary, I ponder on the Light

You nourished tenderly

A Light which came from God above

For all humanity.

Mary, I ponder on the babe

You suckled at your breast

A tiny babe, so small, so new

But not like all the rest.

This defenceless babe was Light and Truth

This tiny child, the Word

Came to the world to save mankind

The very Word you heard.

Let us agree to make a few moments for God each day. Let us agree to pray for one another. Let us agree to ask for one another's needs in the Name of Jesus. If you have any petitions for prayer do not hesitate to contact us. May God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ bless you abundantly in the coming year.
